Ready to get peculiar?! Let’s go!

Miss Alma Peregrine

miss peregrine

Where would we be without the headmistress of all headmistresses, Miss Alma Peregrine??? She’s sassy and classy and doesn’t take any nonsense from misbehaved children or hollowgasts alike! Like Miss Peregrine, Felicity Montague is not willing to let her gender or society determine her fate.

ladys guide to

Full of strong women not willing to take any nonsense, The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy would for sure appeal to Miss Peregrine.

Jacob Portman

JAcob peculiar

A young hero, thrown into a world he doesn’t quite understand yet is willing to fight to save the world of peculiardom anyway! There really is quite a lot to swoon over in the young Jacob Portman. And while Adrian isn’t quite as lost as Jacob, I do think their struggle to find themselves in a larger world would make them fast friends.

archenemies

The world isn’t black and white, and even heroes need to find the places that they belong. If you love Jacob, you’ll for sure love Adrian. Check out Archenemies!

Emma Bloom

emma peculiar

Oh Emma. Trapped in a day, stuck forever at 16. Trying to get over the love of her life, who has long since grown and recently died. When she meets Jacob, confusion over how she feels is putting the situation mildly! I think Eelyn can sympathize with what that feels like.

sky in the deep

If learning how to adapt on the go, navigate deep feels, all while holding true to your badass warrior self sounds like your jam, be sure to grab Sky In The Deep.

Enoch O’Conner

I admit, I have a soft spot for this peculiar macabre smart ass. He’s feisty, knows what he wants, and isn’t afraid of a little death. I think if he had the chance to dabble in animated AI, it would take his fascination of all things dead and mechanical to a whole new level!

lifel1k3

Personally, I think everything about this book would knock his little peculiar socks off! If you also enjoy things a bit sarcastic and like your humans like you like your cars, you have to own Lifel1k3.

Millard Nullings

millard peculiar

Millard is one of those characters that always makes me smile with his hijinks. His disregard for the necessity of clothing and his penchant for petty shoplifting makes me think he and Bruce Wayne would enjoy each other’s company.

batman

I don’t know why, but they just seem like besties waiting to happen. Maybe because they both have to rely on their brains rather than strength. Maybe because they’re both a bit of a hidden romantic. Regardless, if you love Millard, be sure to also see if you fall for Batman.

I could definitely go on with this list for DAYS, I don’t have a MAP!!! 😂🤣😂 Alright, bad jokes aside, this list was a ton of fun to put together. Nearly as much fun as reading all about their newest adventures set in America. Get ready to see a whole new level of evil, and a different side to the world of peculiars.

Thank you so, so much Penguin Teen for sending me a review copy AND for letting me be a part of this very peculiar tour!!!

Having defeated the monstrous threat that nearly destroyed the peculiar world, Jacob Portman is back where his story began, in Florida. Except now Miss Peregrine, Emma, and their peculiar friends are with him, and doing their best to blend in. But carefree days of beach visits and normalling lessons are soon interrupted by a discovery–a subterranean bunker that belonged to Jacob’s grandfather, Abe.

Clues to Abe’s double-life as a peculiar operative start to emerge, secrets long hidden in plain sight. And Jacob begins to learn about the dangerous legacy he has inherited–truths that were part of him long before he walked into Miss Peregrine’s time loop.

Now, the stakes are higher than ever as Jacob and his friends are thrust into the untamed landscape of American peculiardom–a world with few ymbrynes, or rules–that none of them understand. New wonders, and dangers, await in this brilliant next chapter for Miss Peregrine’s peculiar children. Their story is again fully illustrated by haunting vintage photographs, but with a striking addition for this all-new, multi-era American adventure–full color.
